| Welcome to Aspen Flyfishing Winter 2006-2007 Monday, June 4th The rivers are a little high (except for the frying pan), but the fishing is great. The Roaring Fork is fishing great, because the water is a bit high, the majority of the fish are stacked in the deeper pools or very close to the bank, so take your time moving into the water and don't spook those fish. The Frying Pan is fishing very well, but a bit technical. Good midge and baetis action but you have to match that hatch well. Fish are not going to be tricked into eating flies that are too large, so make sure you have the right flies. Fish on! Hot Flies Roaring Fork Valley Stone fly nymphs and adults, baetis, midge, egg patterns, and green drake nymphs. |
